Karen Caldwell
Karen was born and raised in Brockville and after living and studying in Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto, she spent 20+ years of her professional life overseas in South Korea, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (the UAE), and Bahrain. Her careers have encompassed business and education, with her overseas life working with K-12, college and university learners as well as representing Canada as the Trade Commissioner for Education & Training in the Arabian Gulf countries of the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman. Since returning home permanently in early 2018, Karen has worked locally as a leadership, education and training consultant, including with Career Services in their virtual reality initiatives, as well as in organizational development with the team. Karen currently lives in Prescott and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses related to cognitive science and how we learn at the State University of New York, Potsdam.
